SUMMARY:Bikepacking - an information evening organized by Radtreff Campus Bonn
DESCRIPTION:Bikepacking – in one way or another… Rather “safe” with a detailed route and every evening in a cozy BnB in Sicily – or “freestyle” with a tent in Vietnam\, Laos and Cambodia or Morocco and Western Sahara: There will be interesting stories about these two types of bikepacking in our next lecture. Thomas and Jürgen\, two gentlemen in their twilight years\, made their dream come true in spring 2023 and circumnavigated (mostly) spring-like Sicily: 1000 km from Catania to Marsala\, via Palermo\, Cefalù and the Madonie back\, with a detour to Mount Etna\, on lonely roads with many meters of elevation gain. Lots of culture and history and\, of course\, good Sicilian food and coffee. The two of them talk about their impressions\, explain the equipment and pass on their experiences to you. Olli’s tours\, on the other hand\, are completely different: without knowing how and where he will spend the next night\, he rides into the unknown every day on his tours. Whether the humidity is 0% or almost 100% and you get stuck in the sand or mud\, Oliver has already traveled to one or two remote corners of the world on his bike. Would you like to join us?
