Silvesterlauf 2025 - Late registrations

Late registrations are possible on the day of the event for the 5km. Simply continue to use the online portal or fill out a registration form on site.

The entry fee is 22,-€. These are to be paid in cash and suitable (Attention: we do not have change on site!).

It is not possible to register for the 10km.

Silvesterlauf 2025 - the anticipation is growing

A preliminary report by our presenter Artur Schmidt:

The Bonner Silvesterlauf has developed into a real cult run in recent years. While there were only 500 participants in 2016 when the Bonner Laufladen team took over the event, the run has now reached its capacity limit with around 1,800 starters. The 10 km run has been fully booked since the beginning of December with 750 participants, as has the Bambini run with 100 kids. There are still around 200 places available for the 5km run (as of December 25).

 

Once again this year, we can expect exciting and powerful races:

As in previous years, local junior athletes from the athletics and triathlon divisions of SSF Bonn will dominate the women’s and men’s 5 km races.

In the 10km race, I will once again be welcoming many fast runners. For example, the course record holder (36:45 min) and last year’s winner Sabine Burgdorf (Cologne) will meet the powerful Lisa Kerp-Maomu and Marlene Günther. A whole host of runners are among the favorites in the men’s field: Jan Stratmann (SSF Bonn), one of the best German Ironman finishers (7:38 h), will be at the start. He was 3rd at the 70.3 World Championships in Lathi in 2023 and recently won the half marathon at the Siebengebirgs Marathon. Linus Korsmeier, who has a PB of 29:49 min. over 10 km, and last year’s winner and current course record holder Jonas Humke should have a very good chance of winning. Local hero Julien Jeandree can also be expected to finish in the top places.

 

In addition to these motivated young athletes, I am of course particularly looking forward to the many, many runners who are taking part in this run for fun, to bring the year 2025 to a sporty close with a run along the Rhine.

Starting documents Documents will be handed out all day on Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th at Laufladen Bonn, Bonngasse 13a(please note opening hours). On the day of the event, the documents will only be available in the start/finish area.
Special Every finisher (including the Bambini) receives a high-quality medal.
Timekeeping Professional timekeeping via chip (will be issued with the documents)

I will not assert any claims against the organizer or the sponsors of the run and their representatives for damages and injuries of any kind that I may incur as a result of my participation. I declare that I have trained sufficiently for participation in this competition and that I am in good physical health. The medical staff is entitled to remove me from the race if there are any threatening signs of damage to my health. I agree that the data stated in my registration may be used for the purpose of the event.

I am aware that there is a professional photo service with the company Eventfotografie 24 / Sankt Augustin and Sport-/Event Fotografie Winni Penno, where the run and its participants are photographed.

By participating in the event, the participant agrees to the creation and storage of photos and videos and to the publication of these photos and videos on Eventfotografie 24 and on Winni Penno. This also includes the forwarding of image and video data to third parties (computer center, quality control, etc.) for the purposes of preparing offers and fulfilling orders. The pictures and videos can be viewed and purchased by everyone on Eventfotografie24 and on Winni Penno by entering the start number.

Participants can object to the publication of their photos and videos at any time. To do so, simply send a message to info@eventfotografie24.de or foto@penno-edi-consulting.de stating the event and the participant’s start number. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that the participant concerned may also be photographed in other pictures or videos (e.g. because the start number was not recognizable in these pictures). If Eventfotografie24 or Winno Penno are informed of the respective picture numbers in full, the publication of these pictures can also be blocked.

I confirm that the information I have provided is correct.

After my registration I am not entitled to a refund of the participation fees.

We have been running on our original route again since 2024!

In detail:

As usual, the start and finish of the Bonn New Year’s Eve Run will be on the Rathenauufer / corner of Zweite Fährgasse.

The almost completely flat route then takes you along the banks of the Rhine into the Bonn Rheinaue. We walk over the two bridges at the ponds again, as we did in the first years of the event. After crossing the second bridge, we keep left twice (i.e. no longer towards the Bismarkturm) and walk back past the artificial turf area. We circle the Rheinaue Nordwest parking lot on the Rhine side and rejoin the route at the kiosk / traffic circle. From there, we head straight back towards the start/finish.

In the 5km run, you run straight to the finish after one lap. In the 10km run you complete two laps, i.e. you turn at the turning point approx. 200m before the finish and start a second lap. At the end of this second lap you also cross the finish line.

About the route lengths:

– the 10km route is measured with several GPS devices. We come to exactly 10km here.

– the 5km route is slightly longer. We come to 5.2km here.

Arrival & Parking

We recommend that you use public transportation to get there. Take the subway and get off either at “Juridicum” or “Universität” and then walk down to the banks of the Rhine.

From my own experience, bicycles can be easily locked to the fence facing the Rhine.

The traffic routing on Rathenauufer and the parking situation have changed fundamentally for those arriving by car. The Rathenauufer has become a one-way street. Access is via Zweite Fährgasse and it is now only possible to stop briefly. Parking is no longer permitted on Rathenauufer (our vehicles, which we need for the event and park there, receive a special permit – so don’t take this as an example).

Event shirt 2025

This year we are once again offering you an event shirt.

This year there is a completely new, fresh design: a black shirt with a slogan on the back and the Silvesterlauf logo on the front.

The price is 20,-€.

You can order the shirt as part of your registration by 14.12. order. Your starting documents will then be handed out.

After 14.12. you can only buy it subject to availability when the documents are handed out.
